The office hours of the Graduate School of International Cultural Studies Educational Records and Programs Section are as follows.
However, this does not apply to emergencies. The office may be temporarily closed.
Weekdays: 8:45 - 17:15 (Lunch break: 12:30 - 13:00)
Closed: Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays (including substitute holidays), holidays in mid-August, year-end and New Year holidays (December 29 through January 3)

Student Support Counseling
The Student Support Counseling Desk provides counseling for students on issues related to their daily life, study, and coursework. The counselors consist of three faculty members of the Graduate School of International Cultural Studies. The counselors will work to solve problems in cooperation with organizations inside and outside the Graduate School, as necessary, while respecting the privacy of the consultants to the greatest extent possible. Consultation can be conducted in person, by phone, or by e-mail, or by any other method that is convenient for the client.

Harassment and Disability Discrimination Consultation Desk
The counselors will consist of three faculty members and one administrative staff member of the Graduate School of International Cultural Studies. Every effort will be made to ensure that not all of the consultants are of the same gender. The term of office of a counselor shall be one year, and renewal shall not be precluded. (2) The counselors shall provide consultation, assistance and information necessary to solve problems related to harassment, etc. The staff counselor will record the details of the consultation regarding harassment, etc., and report a summary of the consultation to the Dean of the Graduate School as appropriate.
Procedures for consultation, filing of complaints, and problem-solving concerning harassment, etc., shall be handled in accordance with the University's guidelines. The counselor is responsible for respecting the privacy of the person concerned to the maximum extent possible. When contacting the counselor, you may choose a method that is convenient for you, such as in person, by telephone, or by e-mail. The name and contact information of the counselor will be published in the student handbook, and will be made widely known to students. Students may also use the counseling service of the Tohoku University Student Counseling Center.

Issuance of Certificates, etc.
Current students can obtain certificates of enrollment, certificates of expected completion (for final year students only), transcripts (not sealed), and student discount coupons (up to 20 coupons per year) from the automatic certificate machine on the 1st floor of the Education and Student Support Center on the Kawauchi-Kita Campus. If you need your transcripts or other documents to be strictly sealed, please apply to the Educational Records and Programs Section.
※The office will be closed from December 28, 2024 to January 5, 2025 for winter break.
