Housing
Private Apartments and Joint Guarantor System
When renting an apartment in Japan, a joint guarantor may
be required. For Japanese students, parents or relatives
often act as joint guarantors. For international students
whose legal guardians are not in Japan, renting an
apartment is possible by using a private guarantor company
as a guarantor.
