Notices related to employment support
Tohoku University Career Support Center offers individual career counseling sessions for students who wish to find a job in Japan. Appointments can be made through the Career Support Center website. The Career Support Center is located on the 3rd floor of the Education Support Center Building.
Schedule, etc. regarding employment and recruitment activities
Many Japanese companies will begin their recruitment activities according to the same schedule. The following is the job hunting schedule for those who will graduate in the AY 2026 (March 2027).
- Start of public relations activities: March 1, 2026 (on or after March 1 immediately prior to the start of the graduation/completion year)
- Recruitment activities begin: June 1, 2026 (on or after June 1 of the year of graduation/completion)
- Official date of job offer: October 1, 2026 (on or after October 1 of the year of graduation/completion)

The Career Development Information List provides information on job fairs and job search internships in Japan. Note that students applying for internships often need to have good Japanese language skills.

*Many internships at public offices require time-consuming procedures since they are applied for through universities. Therefore, if you are interested in an internship at a government office, please gather information on your own and contact us as soon as possible.
*If you are applying in person, be sure to submit a copy of the submitted documents (1 copy) to the Graduate School of International Cultural Studies Academic Affairs Section.
