国際文化研究科では、宗教とジェンダーの観点から社会参加を考えることをテーマに、国際セミナーを開催いたします。今回は、イスラム教を国教とするマレーシアと、政教分離を原則とするフランスにおいて、それぞれムスリム女性が置かれている状況に注目し、彼女たちの社会参加のあり方を中心に、多宗教社会の課題について議論します。
ゲストスピーカーには、Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM)教授のNoraida Endut氏、University of Strasbourg教授のAnne-Sophie Lamine氏を、討論者には、岩手県立大学准教授の桑原尚子氏をお迎えします。

We are pleased to announce that GSICS is hosting an international seminar on “Religion and Gender for Social Participation.” The seminar will focus on the current situation of Muslim women in Malaysia, where Islam is the State religion, and in France, where secularism is the principle. We will discuss the challenges of a pluri-religious society, focusing on the ways of social participation.

Guest speakers are Dr. Noraida Endut from the Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), and Dr. Anne-Sophie Lamine from the University of Strasbourg. The discussant is Dr. Naoko Kuwahara from Iwate Prefectural University.The seminar will be held on Friday, March 3, 2023, from 16:30 to 19:30 (JST).
