Joint Seminar on Buried Cultural Properties
Joint Seminar on Buried Cultural Properties will be held as detailed below.
Lecturers, including faculty from the Archaeological Research Office on the Campus, will explain the characteristics of buried cultural properties(archaeological sites) on the university campus, their handling, administrative procedures, and the creation of 3D data in archaeology. In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to handle artifacts (excavated items) at the venue.
This year, in conjunction with the special exhibition at the Tohoku University Library, there will be a joint seminar held by Archaeological Research Office on the Campus, the Tohoku University Library,and the Facilities Department.
Date and Time: Wednesday, December 10, 2025, First session 13:30–14:30, Second session:14:40–15:35
Format: Hybrid format with in-person attendance and online participation

Capacity for in-person attendance: 40 people (first-come, first-served)
