Traveling Gelato Project Returns with Four New Student-Created Flavors
The Global Learning Center, in collaboration with the Tohoku University Fund and Alumni Relations Office, is pleased to present the "Traveling Gelato" Project again this year as part of its extracurricular global co-learning initiative.
This year, 16 students (8 international students and 8 domestic students) formed four multicultural teams to create four original gelato flavors inspired by different cultures and countries.
These original flavors will be available for advance sales during Tohoku University's Open Campus on July 29 (Wed.) and July 30 (Thu.) at the area in front of Sky KAWAUCHI Forest on Kawauchi Campus.
In addition to sales from the food truck, the gelato will also be available in cups this year, and the student participants themselves will take part in the sales activities. Visitors will also have the opportunity to enjoy popular flavors created by students in previous years, including Elderflower Lemon, Hawthorn, and Durian.
Following the Open Campus, the student-designed flavors will be available from July 31 (Fri.) through August 11 (Tue.) at the following store in AEON Mall Natori. (Please note that the flavors will not be available at S-PAL Sendai this year.)

Finally, as in previous years, a portion of the sales proceeds will be donated to the Tohoku University Fund to support the University's international exchange initiatives.
