Invitation for "TANAKA Nights: Taste the World!" Student Dinner Event
The student dinner event "TANAKA Nights: Taste the World!" will be held over five days: July 6 (Mon), 8 (Wed), 10 (Fri), 14 (Tue), and 16 (Thu), 2026.
Thanks to the generous support of the Tanaka Precious Metals Memorial Foundation, the event will offer dishes inspired by food cultures from around the world for just 300 yen (tax included), with 400 servings available each day.
To plan the menu lineup, international and domestic students who regularly contribute to the university’s internationalization as student staff members of the Global Learning Center formed a project team. The team conducted on-campus surveys and interviews with students from a wide range of countries and regions about how they use the campus cafeteria and their food-related needs. Focusing primarily on responses about traditional and home-style dishes that students wished to see served in the campus cafeteria, the team selected dishes that allow participants to experience diverse food cultures from around the world. The resulting five-day menu lineup includes both halal and vegan options. Click here for the menu details.
By enjoying dishes from different parts of the world, participating students are encouraged to deepen their interest in other cultures and broaden their global perspectives. Thank you very much for your cooperation in helping us spread the word.
