Student Challenge Crowdfunding "Tomoni" Program -Call for Applications
Tohoku University is launching a crowdfunding program called Tomoni, which invites students to submit a plan to realize a dream, tackle a social problem or engage in positive activism to improve their community.
The Tomoni (which means "Together" in Japanese) Program will give students the chance to impact their own future by crowdsourcing their ideas and building a project with sponsors who share their vision.
Selected proposals will be presented on the university's crowdfunding platform and will receive funding. Alumni and members of the university will provide mentorship, professional advice and other (non-financial) support.
Eligibility: Individual undergraduate or graduate students, or organizations represented by students enrolled at Tohoku University

Students of all nationalities and from all fields of study are welcome to apply, and proposals that reflect diversity are strongly encouraged.
Proposals must be for original projects that challenge students to benefit society, solve a social problem and/or improve personal development.
