"AI for Science Sprouting Research Advancement and Development (SPREAD)" Program under the Innovation for Science through AI Initiative (FY2026)

Researchers across all fields—from the humanities and social sciences to the natural sciences—are invited to apply for this program. Eligible proposals are those that align with the program’s objectives and are conducted by a single Principal Investigator.

This program also places emphasis on expanding its reach to researchers who are interested in utilizing AI and aim to enhance and accelerate their research through its introduction. In particular, we actively welcome exploratory and early-stage proposals that seek to develop new research directions through the initial introduction, application, or improvement of AI.

*Students are also eligible to apply.
