Post-arrival Orientation for International Researchers and Students
The International Support Center (ISC) will be holding another orientation session for newly arriving international researchers. In addition to the ISC, representatives from SenTIA (Sendai Tourism, Convention and International Association) and Sendai City officials will also be present to share valuable insight and practical tips on living in Sendai.
While the orientation is mainly aimed at international researchers, their family members, host department staff, and international students are also welcome to attend.
1. Date & Venue: April 10 (Fri) 14:30-16:30
Meeting Room, 2F, Central Hall (C01), Aobayama Campus
*Online participation is also available.
2. Target Participants: International researchers

4. Topics Covered:
- Living in Sendai as an International Resident – Useful information on daily life and available support
- Helpful Resources – Guidance on bureaucratic procedures and local services
- Japanese Language Resources – Information on local Japanese language classes and other Japanese language resources geared towards international residents
- Interpretation and Translation Resources – Information on various local interpretation and translation services
- Disaster Preparedness – Important safety measures and what to do in case of a natural disaster
- Tourist Information – An explanation of Sendai’s famous landmarks, tourist spots, and more!
- Q&A Session – A chance to ask questions and get advice on settling in

- Attendees are free to enter and leave the briefing session at their convenience.
- Please note that there will be no orientation held at Katahira Campus this time.
