Symposium "Disaster Prevention /Mitigation Education and Resilient Society"
In FY 2022, Tohoku University’s project, " International Collaboration between Japanese, British, and American Universities to Create Resilient Societies" was selected for the MEXT Inter-University Exchange Project. Together with our partner universities in the UK and the US, we have been working to create a future society that is resilient and prosperous. As part of this project, the international symposium "Disaster Prevention /Mitigation Education and Resilient Society" will be held as detailed below.
In this year's symposium, Professor SATO Takeshi from the International Research Institute of Disaster Science (IRIDeS) at Tohoku University will deliver a lecture on disaster prevention and mitigation through university-regional collaboration, as well as disaster management strategies for large organizations. The second half of the session will feature reports on our practical efforts to cultivate global leaders through this project.
Students, faculty, staff, and all guests are welcome to participate.
