The 1st ICP International Symposium, Pathways for a Sustainable Future — From Global Vision to Asian Pathways and Japanese Action — organized by the Kobata Laboratory, Graduate School of Environmental Studies, Tohoku University, will be held on February 20, 2026 (Friday).

This symposium focuses on renewable energy–driven decarbonization as one of the central challenges of our time. It explores how global knowledge can be translated into Asian pathways and concrete actions in Japan through perspectives on technology, policy, and society.
