From January 2026, the Online Residence Application System and the Electronic Notification System have been renewed.
(*Online applications can be submitted 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. You can receive your new residence card by mail, and the application fee can also be paid online.)

Main changes for international students:
○You can now use both the Online Residence Application System and the Electronic Notification System with the same user ID.
○My Number Card authentication can be completed using the MyPortal smartphone app, so an IC card reader is no longer required.
Note:
The use of smartphones for the Online Residence Application System is not recommended.
When submitting an online application, please use one of the recommended devices:
Operating system: Windows or macOS
Browser: Microsoft Edge (recommended), Google Chrome and Safari are also supported.
