[Reference] Job Hunting and Recruitment Schedule in Japan
In Japan, many companies will, in principle, begin their recruitment activities based on a common schedule.
The job hunting schedules by expected year of completion are as follows.
For students expected to complete their studies in AY 2027 (March 2028)
・Start of public relations activities: March 1, 2027 (on or after March 1 immediately prior to the start of the completion year)
・Start of recruitment activities: June 1, 2027 (on or after June 1 of the completion year)
・Official date of job offer: October 1, 2027 (on or after October 1 of the completion year)
Note: As in previous years, exceptions to the start date of recruitment activities apply to candidates who have participated in specialized, application-based internships (with a duration of two weeks or longer).
For students expected to complete their studies in AY 2026 (March 2027)
・Start of public relations activities: March 1, 2026 (on or after March 1 immediately prior to the start of the completion year)
・Start of recruitment activities: June 1, 2026 (on or after June 1 of the completion year)
・Official date of job offer: October 1, 2026 (on or after October 1 of the completion year)
