For those who wish to start working from April.

As in previous years, the Immigration Services Agency of Japan has requested, through the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, the promotion of early applications for changes in status of residence from "Student" to other work-eligible statuses, as applications tend to concentrate from December to March.

Accordingly, an informational leaflet (in Japanese only) is attached for reference. If you wish to work starting from April, please ensure to submit your application between December 1st and the end of January.

Please note that while new conditions have been added this time allowing for the omission of certain documents, there will be no change in procedures for those will be employed by Tohoku University, as the institution has already been classified as Category 1 under the organizational classification system for applications, and the omission of documents has already been applied.
