The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF), through the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), has requested that we strengthen awareness and caution regarding thorough animal and plant quarantine measures.
With the New Year and the Lunar New Year (February 17th) approaching, it is expected that the movement of people and goods will become even more active. Therefore, the Animal Quarantine Station and Plant Quarantine Station will strengthen public relations activities regarding the prohibition of bringing livestock products and plants into Japan, disinfect the soles of shoes, and inspect personal belongings and international mail.
