<Notice: New Bicycle Traffic Rules>
Starting April 1, 2026, the Traffic Violation Notification System (so-called “Blue Ticket” system) will be introduced for certain traffic violations committed by bicycle riders aged 16 and over.
Under this system, violations such as ignoring traffic lights or using a smartphone while riding may result in a fine.
To promote safe and responsible bicycle use, the National Police Agency (NPA) has published a guide titled “To Use Bicycles Safely and with Peace of Mind — Bicycle Rule Book”, which summarizes the basic traffic rules for bicycles and the principles of law enforcement related to bicycle violations.
