The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF), through the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), has requested that we disseminate information and raise awareness about thorough animal and plant quarantine during the long holiday period.
With the upcoming National Day (October 1st) and Mid-Autumn Festival (October 6th), it is expected that the movement of people and goods will become even more active, especially in Asia. Therefore, thorough disinfection of shoe soles will be implemented at airports and seaports, inspections of personal belongings will be strengthened, public relations campaigns will be implemented, and inspections of international mail will be strengthened at post offices.
