Trial Distribution of Sanitary Pads Developed Through Joint Research at Tohoku University
As part of the initiatives led by Tohoku University’s Center for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI), we are pleased to announce a trial distribution of sanitary pads, developed through joint research between Tohoku University and Daio Paper Corporation. These products are being provided free of charge.
Prior to permanent installation, trial samples were distributed during the Open Campus held on July 30 and 31.
In our graduate school as well, the products have been made available in the women’s restrooms on the 1st floor of the main building and the 3rd floor of the West Building. We encourage you to make use of them.
In addition to distributing sanitary products, this initiative also aims to raise awareness among students that engineering research at Tohoku University contributes to the advancement of menstrual health and hygiene.
