The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF) has issued a reminder regarding animal and plant quarantine during the summer vacation period.

As international travel increases during the summer holidays, the risk of introducing plant pests and animal diseases into Japan also increases.
When entering Japan, please note that meat products, fruits, vegetables, plants, and other items may be subject to import restrictions. Please make sure to follow Japan's animal and plant quarantine regulations.
Bringing prohibited items into Japan without the required quarantine inspection may result in legal penalties.
