The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF), through the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), has requested that we disseminate information and raise awareness about strict animal and plant quarantine measures during the summer holidays.
As the summer holidays approach, the movement of people and goods is expected to increase. Animal and plant quarantine stations will intensify efforts to publicize the prohibition on bringing livestock products and plants into the country, disinfect shoe soles, and inspect personal belongings and international mail.
