Notice of Viewing Area Opening for Tohoku University Summer Festival: Sendai Tanabata Fireworks Edition

On Tuesday, August 5, an event called “Tohoku University Summer Festival! (Sendai Tanabata Fireworks Festival Edition)” will be held for all members of Tohoku University to enjoy the Sendai Tanabata Fireworks Festival.
The viewing area will be open to students, faculty, staff of the Graduate School of International Cultural Studies, and  their family members who are unable to attend the main venue of the Tohoku University Summer Festival.
Please feel free to join us!!

Date: Tuesday, August 5, 17:00 - 20:30
Viewing area: Multimedia Education and Research Complex, 6th floor, Main Hall (A05)

Eligible Participants:
Students, faculty, and staff of the Graduate School of International Cultural Studies, and their family members only.
*Please note that non-family members (e.g., friends, etc.) are not allowed.
Seating capacity: 100 seats
*Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Once the capacity of 100 is reached, registration will be closed.
How to Apply:
To help us estimate the number of attendees, please submit your application using the Google Form below by Wednesday, July 30.

*A Tohoku University email address or DC mail address is required to apply.
*Each person may apply only once and can register up to six people.

Important Notes:
・You may bring snacks and non-alcoholic beverages. *Alcoholic is NOT permitted.
・Please take your garbage home with you.
・Please note that the windows cannot be opened due to the building structure, and the fireworks will be viewed through the windows.
・Please refrain from loud conversations or any disruptive behavior.
・We are not responsible for any theft or loss, so please keep your valuables safe.
・The event may be modified or canceled due to weather conditions.
