[Required to complete] Taking the "Transferable Skills Development Program"

Tohoku University offers the “Transferable Skills Development Program” so that students can complete their studies with general skills that can be used widely in society.
This program is mandatory for students who entered the doctoral program in 2024 and those who will enter the master’s program in 2025. Students are required to complete the program and submit the assignments before finishing their studies.
*Please note that this is a compulsory program, not a compulsory course. Therefore, it does not count toward the credits or completion requirements of the graduate school.

Target: Master's students enrolled from AY2025 and doctoral students enrolled from AY2024.

<Submission Deadline for the FY2025: Friday, December 26>

Transferable Skills are perceived as skills that are applicable to a variety of situations, rather than being confined to a specific field. For early-career researchers and PhD students, these Transferable Skills represent a crucial concept that broadens their knowledge and experiences beyond their academic field.
This broadening aids in the development of their career paths, preventing them from being limited to a narrow range of experiences. Upon completion of this program, you will receive an Open Badge, which will be officially certified by Tohoku University.
