Project Description
Ensuring access to safe drinking water remains a major challenge in developing countries. In Bangladesh in particular, naturally occurring arsenic (As) in groundwater has caused serious health concerns. Previous studies have investigated methods for estimating arsenic concentrations in groundwater based on iron concentrations (Wang, 2007*). In this study, I investigate the feasibility of developing a low-cost and simple device that uses an iron sensor with measured iron concentrations serving as a supplementary indicator for assessing arsenic contamination.
