The Consul General and Deputy Consul General of the Republic of Korea in Sendai, together with two other representatives from the Consulate General, paid a courtesy visit to the Graduate School of International Cultural Studies and met with Dean Yu and Administrative Director Hino to exchange views.

The delegation expressed a keen interest in Tohoku University's support system and initiatives for international students. They also expressed concern over the recent decline in the number of students from the Republic of Korea studying at the University.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining close communication regarding future support for and cooperation with programs organized by the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Sendai.

On the same day, the delegation visited NanoTerasu and met with the President and Executive Vice President of Tohoku University.
