The SDGs Outreach Program jointly organized by our Graduate School and Higashimatsushima City was featured in a news report by Sendai Broadcasting. "From Used Car Airbags to Eco-Bags: SDGs Outreach Program at an Elementary School in Higashimatsushima Gives Students Hands-On Experience with Recycling"

At the SDGs Outreach Program held at Akai Elementary School in Higashimatsushima City on June 23, three hands-on learning booths were set up with the cooperation of our Graduate School, Kobayashi Co., Ltd., the Miyagi Prefectural Industrial Technology Institute, and Tobu Kankyo Co., Ltd.

At each booth, students participated in interactive activities and learned about topics such as automobile recycling, the upcycling and resource circulation of plastic packaging waste, bioplastics and decarbonization, and the conversion of waste tires into fuel.

The program is scheduled to continue through June 29.

The SDGs Outreach Program, where students learned about recycling by transforming used car airbags into eco-bags, was featured in a news report by Sendai Broadcasting and on Yahoo! News.
