1. Career Support

For students who intend to find a job in Japan, the Center for Career Support of Tohoku University is providing individual career advising sessions. To request an appointment, please visit their website: https://www.career.ihe.tohoku.ac.jp/students/career-advising/
The Center for Career Support is located on the 3rd floor of the Education and Support Center building.

2. Job-hunting Schedule in Japan

Many companies in Japan follow the same schedule for their recruitment activities. Key job-hunting dates for those who expect to graduate in March of 2025 are as follows:.
Start of PR and application activities: March 1st, 2024(*On or after March 1 immediately prior to the start of the graduation/completion year)
Start of screening activities: June 1st, 2024(*After June 1 of the year of graduation/completion)
Start of official job offers: October 1st, 2024(*After October 1 of the year of graduation/completion)

3. Job Fairs and Internships

Information regarding job fairs and job-oriented internships in Japan are posted on the GSICS online bulletin board. Note that internships often require Japanese language skills. Those who are interested in internships conducted in Japanese are advised to check here.
