Homepage of Department of Cultural Uses of Language (Japanese)
“Cultural Uses of Language” refers to a comprehensive study of language, culture and literature seen as a complex, multifaceted form. Going beyond the traditional and narrow framework of study, we aim at interdisciplinary research across established disciplines. As long as it is related to subjects concerning cultural phenomena, any topic or research interest proposed by a student would be a study thesis in this department. Also we lay stress on improving the efficiency in the practical uses of foreign languages.
