Homepage of Department of International Resources Policy (Japanese)
The department pursues unique research and education based on a combination of methodologies from engineering and economic policy to identify international policies for the development and utilization of natural resources. The engineering approach is comprised of developing specific utilization technologies for minerals, materials and energy resources with an emphasis on conservation of both resources and the environment. The economic approach includes analysis of major causes of imbalances in international demand and supply of food, as well as identification of policy measures to alleviate these problems. Based on this approach, the department offers extensive opportunities to students for research and education.
