Homepage of Department of International Economic Relations
The globalization of the Japanese economy has created a complex economic interdependency between Japan and the other major world economies. In order to understand this interdependency and arrive at a proper interpretation from a wide variety of viewpoints, this department pursues comprehensive international economic analyses of matters such as international trade, direct foreign investment, and localization of foreign firms. The results of these analyses help clarify the present status and current issues of the world economy.
